Breakfast was a pretty standard fare although blocks of chocolate were a bit novel and could help contribute to the `LA` effect in the UK.
This is referred to by Henley as the `Lard Ass` effect i.e. when I pass him on a downhiller while not pedaling vs his frantic cadence strokes Henley often yells`Lard Ass!
The day was as expected a lazy one although a good 8km walk into town and back had the quads a bit sore later on in the day !
The walk back also saw the `deflowering` of one K.Henley and no it wasnt by him being seen to down a laneway by a ravishing Spanish beauty - Kev for the first time in his life actually bought a book for himself to read - it proves it is never to late to do things in life ?
Most of the afternoon was as expected spent reading and watching the Tour de France which i feel needs a tad more drama than current to be entertaining !
The weather while sunny (22 C) was certainly cool in the wind, but not enough to stop the hordes from crowding the beach for a sun tan and a good 100 or so actually swimming in the cold water keeping the bored life guards half interested.
Kev did actually move out of the hotel in the arvo to watch an equestrian event being set up nearby (no the horses didn't jump) and then came back to watch Wimbledon for a top couch potato day.
At this rate theres a good chance that we could both easily put on the weight we've lost over the past 60 days.
Unlike Bruce & Ginas fabulous food episode in France (friends of Kevs over for the TDF) with restaurants opening late we had to raid a nearby Supermarket for a Baguette with Ham, Salami, Tomato, Cheese and mayo - not quite as exotic as their escargot, ducks hearts, Pate de Fois Gras and Red wine !
Only 5 days of nothing to go - maybe we need to try out the Casino next door !
